Dr. Laura Janovsky

Dr. Laura Janovsky (Dr. J) grew up in Northern Virginia and attended Virginia Tech where she completed her BS in Biological Sciences in 2009. She worked as a veterinary nurse and as an environmental science consultant for 2 years before heading back to Blacksburg, Virginia to pursue her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. J completed a one year rotating internship in specialty and emergency medicine at VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She and her husband then settled on Michigan as their home. After practicing in Redford, MI for almost 2 years, Dr. J joined Whittaker Road Animal Clinic in 2019 to be closer to home and to better serve her own community. Dr. J loves the close knit relationship of her work family at Whittaker Road as well as building wonderful relationships with her patients and their families.  

Dr. J’s professional interests include internal medicine and feline medicine and she is passionate about providing great service and getting to know her patients and their families on a personal level. In her spare time Dr. J enjoys traveling, mountain biking, and gardening, as well as all things outdoors. She currently resides with her husband as well as 3 furry family members.
